What is Virtual Prototyping?
With the advent of cheap powerful computing power, computer-based simulation techniques have been developed that can predict the complex motion of fluids. These techniques, collectively known as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), have the potential to predict the performance of a product directly from the design drawing without having to produce and test prototypes, leading to cost savings and reduced time to market.
IFS are experts in using CFD to “virtually prototype” products and hence predict product performance up front of prototype production.
