We use our fluids expertise to help clients in the upstream conceptual development phase of product development. Here the work is less structured, each project is unique and, in general, tends to push the bounds of CFD technology.
Once again the core of our work revolves around understanding the core fluids processes. However, in this work we normally have to develop bespoke analysis methodologies in order to characterise the flows. We often work with the CFD vendors and the relevant academics in order to develop a practical means of addressing the issues.
The work can take the form of:
- A feasibility assessment of a new product
- The development of an entirely new concept for a product
- Developing a basic understanding of fluid dynamics processes
